Noor Sweid is the Founder and Managing Partner of Global Ventures, a leading UAE-based venture capital firm investing across the Middle East and Africa, currently deploying from its third fund. Before founding Global Ventures in 2018, she served as Chief Investment Officer at the Dubai Future Foundation, driving innovation and investment in emerging technologies. Earlier, Noor successfully scaled two companies: Depa, her family business, which she transformed into the world’s largest interior contracting firm and listed on the London Stock Exchange and NASDAQ in a billion-dollar IPO; and ZenYoga, the region’s first and largest yoga and wellness chain, which she exited to a private equity firm in 2014.
A recognized thought leader in venture capital, Noor has been featured by Bloomberg, CNN, and Forbes, which named her among the World’s Top 50 Women in Tech and The Middle East’s Top Venture Capitalists.
