Mohamad Ballout is the Co-founder and CEO of Kitopi, the largest next-gen F&B ecosystem in the Middle East.
Founded in Dubai, UAE, in January 2018, Kitopi’s purpose is to satisfy the world’s appetite to create joy. With 6000+ employees and 200+ locations across the UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar, Kitopi operates a portfolio of invested and franchised brands, helping them grow and scale - both in the delivery and dine-in space. In addition to its markets of operations, Kitopi operates its Engineering Hub in Krakow, Poland, and its global Customer Experience Center in Dubai, UAE and Amman, Jordan.
Prior to founding Kitopi, Mohamad co-founded BMB, which is now the largest confectionery business in the Middle East. He was critical in spearheading BMB’s growth across 32 markets and setting up the first fully automated ethnic sweets manufacturing unit. He sold his shares to a private equity group in May 2016.
Mohamad holds a double major in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Warwick and a Masters in Management from Imperial College London.
